Paper Title
A Study of FKM on Adhesion Properties With Fillers And Surface Treatment Type

Abstract
Adhesion of fluoroelastomer rubber (FKM) was used for application in the automotive such as oil seal, packing, rubber lining and gasket etc. These products were produced by adhesion of metal and rubber. FKM applications were required high temperature of the secondary vulcanization for excellent compression set. Current adhesives were occurred decomposition during secondary vulcanization of high temperature. It may cause durability problem in rubber products because of decreased adhesive properties. In this study, adhesion properties of FKM were investigated for various adhesives formulation, adhesive contents, and surface treatment type. In addition, long-term durability evaluated through the optimized adhesives formulation to the room temperature, heat (200oC, 22h), oil resistance (150oC, 70h) that indicated room temperature, heat resistance, oil resistance of 9.5kgf/cm2, 8.6kgf/cm2, 8.5kgf/cm2 peel strength, 98%, 90%, 85% rubber residual, respectively. Index Terms- Fluoroelastomer rubber (FKM), adhesion properties, long-term durability, surface treatment type
