Paper Title
Mechanical Properties, Oil Characterization, Stiffness at Low Temperature For Content of Plasticizer and Various Plasticizers in FKM Compounds

Abstract
Plasticizers as rubber additives improve the flexibility and the processibility. But, the physical properties were changed by the addition of plasticizer. In this study, Depending on content of plasticizer and various plasticizers, mechanical properties(hardness, tensile strength, elongation at break, modulus), mechanical properties after aging test, oil characterization, compression set, glass transition temperature, stiffness at low temperature (gehman test) were investigated. Plasticizer DOA was used to investigate the content of the plasticizer effect. The contents of a plasticizer DOA were compared by addition of 3, 5, 10 phr. Plasticizers such as FS1265, RS700, RS 107, P200 were compared to the physical properties of the addition 5phr. Scorch time (ts2) and optimum cure time (tc90) were shortened with increasing plasticizer contents in FKM compounds. The result showed that the plasticizer penetrate into the rubber chains to make rubber more flexible. Furthermore, the increase in plasticizer content of FKM compounds caused increase elongation at break, compression set, volume change, while tensile strength, hardness were decreased. The physical properties are insignificant difference in the plasticizer type. Index Terms- Fluoroelastomer rubber(FKM), Plasticizer, Mechanical properties, Aging test, Oil resistance
