Paper Title
Study on Phisycal and Chemical Characteristics of Seawater of Gorgan Bay in The Eastern Part of Southern Coast of The Caspian Sea

Abstract
Physical and chemical characteristics of seawater of Gorgan Bay in the eastern part of the southern Caspian Sea were evaluated. The work is based on field observation on 40 sampling stations over the Bay in warm and cold seasons. Observations were performed by a portable CTD Ocean Seven 316 probe. The parameters ranges in the warm and cold seasons were different. Based on data, water temperature in vertical direction changed between 28-26 centigrade in May and it ranged between 12-10 centigrade in February. Mean values of water salinity in cold season were more than that in warm season in the bay. Variations of salinity were around 13 psu in warm season while salinity values in cold season observed about 15 psu. According to high correlation between seawater density and temperature in the Gorgan Bay as well as the Caspian Sea, vertical structures of water density and temperature were in agreement.
