Ability of Western Music Theories in the Standard Test of Trinity College Criteria For Music Student of Rajabhat Universities in Bangkok

Abstract
The purposes of the research were to study the western music theories from the curriculum of Rajabhat universities in Bangkok and the standard test of Trinity College criteria. The subjects for this study were 4 Rajabhat universities in Bangkok: Pranakorn Rajabhat University, Chandharakasem Rajabhat University, Bansomdajchaopraya Rajabhat University and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University by study Trinity College�s theory of music syllabus and the curriculum of Rajabhat Universities in Bangkok. The research results 1) Western Music theory from Rajabhat universities in Bangkok included music notation, Rest, Staff, Clef, time signature, Tempo, Ascending, Accidentals, Intervals and reversing, Major and Minor scale chromatic, Triad, Roman numerals, Key transposition and Modes, Chord, Non-Harmonic Notes, 7th Chord, 9th Chord, 11th Chord, 13th Chord, Augmented Chord, Neapolitan Sixth Chord, Altered Chord and Borrowed Chord. 4-Part writing; uses of Triad and Chords in choral singing; non-harmonic tones and modulation of the scale. Include basic method of music composing; enhance creative thinking through varieties of composing forms; introduction of form analysis; composing from poetry. 2)According to the study, ability of western music theories in the standard test of Trinity College criteria for music student of Rajabhat Universities in Bangkok is western music theories in grade 8.
