Paper Title
Job Devotion Behavior And Orga Nizational Citizenship Behavior: Concept, Antecedents, And Consequences

Abstract
Previous research on work-related behavior has focused on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), investigating its antecedents or consequences. The OCB concept, however, has a number of limitations in its theoretical definition and measurements. For instance, it is difficult to theoretically connect OCB to objective individual performance, and no study has empirically examined the relationship between the two. Prior studies have used OCB as a predictor of subjective performance evaluations, rewards, and career advancement or as a proxy of individual job performance. This study proposed a new work-related behavioral concept, job devotion behavior (JDB), as an antecedent of objective individual performance. This study examined the antecedents and consequences of JDB and OCB at the individual level and confirmed that JDB had different antecedents and consequences from OCB. These findings suggest the validity of the JDB concept and the importance of JDB in predicting objective individual performance.
