Design for Net Zero Energy And Healthy Building: Developing A Preliminary Web-Based Assessment Tool for Building in Warm-Humid Climate

Abstract
The performance of buildings nowadays is expected to be sustainable, to use net zero energy, and to foster a healthy and comfortable environment. Hence, net zero energy and healthy building(NZHb) is associated as the next frontier in green building. Adjustment on the assessment tool from the green building into NZHbis urgently needed. This study aims to develop a web-based assessment tool particularly for a NZHb preliminary design. The study used a systematic investigation covering the procedures of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information. The result of this study is a web-based assessment tool named DEFINE (Design for Net Zero Energy and Healthy Building). To make it easier to be used by the stakeholders, the assessment output is presented in communicative visual images, in forms of chart and graph. Keywords - assessment, building performance, healthy building, net zero building, web-based.
