Desirable Competency of Executive Secretary: Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University

Abstract
The executive's job is to ensure that the organization meets its objectives. The difficulty that the executive must face is to take accountability of team and deal with challenge from both internal and external factors. One of the executive assistants who can manage time and filter work priorities is the secretary. For this reason, the researcher aims to 1) study the desirable competencies for executive secretary of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University 2) study the assessment in developing the desirable competencies for executive secretary of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. This is quantitative research with a population of 19 executives and secretaries of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. Data were gathered via a questionnaire; the researcher employed a random sampling technique (Systematic Random Sampling). The results of data analysis from a sample of 19 people found that 1) most of respondents are female age ranges between 31 - 40 years, experience of working between 1-3 years 2) Overall, the core competency is at the highest level which are the determination, dedication and collaboration to perform the job as well as acquiring knowledge to be capable of meeting the standards of the job position. Followed by functional competency which are developing skill in catching up with news and current trends. Thereafter, the managerial competency which are leadership and self-control are at high level respectively. Keywords - Executive Secretary, Competency, Desirable Competencies
