RECENT TRENDS IN EMERGING TECHNOLOGICAL INTERVENTIONS TOWARDS DIGITAL MENTAL HEALTH

Abstract
In today's rapidly changing work environment, companies face special challenges in changing the well-being of their employees. According to a report recently published by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), as mental health problems such as anxiety disorders and depression increase due to the COVID-19 outbreak, efforts are being made to expand budget support at the government level to respond. At the same time, the need for mental health promotion programs in schools and workplaces is being highlighted. [1] Mental health management in the workplace has been limited to traditional methods such as employee support programs and on-site counseling services. However, these approaches have struggled to meet the special needs of modern work environments, such as remote work environments. However, by incorporating digital technology, digital innovation is taking place in workers' mental health by providing flexibility, accessibility, and personalization[2]. In particular, as the distribution of wearable devices is rapidly expanding, technologies related to mental healthcare, which helps manage not only physical health but also mental health using wearable devices, are attracting In response to the rapidly changing work environment, companies must effectively manage the mental health of workers, and the use of IoT and AI-enabled wearable technology presents a new way to monitor and manage mental health in real time regardless of employees' location. By continuously collecting and analyzing data, these devices provide insight into an individual's mental health and can play an important role in designing personalized care plans. [3-6] Additionally, they can play an important role in designing individualized management plans. Using digital tools to measure behavioral variables is an area that can be applied to existing engineering and clinical practice and can also help reduce corporate costs [7, 8]. However, despite the potential benefits of this technology, the field of mental health is relatively unexplored and underutilized. Therefore, there is a great need to organize digital mental health management using cutting-edge digital technology and research on future utilization plans. This review analyzes recent trends in digital mental health management and believes that it can help companies implement more effective mental health strategies using digital technology in the future.
