Willingness to Pay For Improving MSW Service: Findings From Internet Survey in Thailand

Abstract
The objective of this study is to identify willingness to pay (WTP) for improving MSW system by taking the advantage and convenient of anonline survey. 96 questionnaireswere entered into the analysis and respondentswere found from all part of Thailand. Based on the empirical finding, mean WTPshave been increased along with the levels of urbanization that were ranked as follow: respondents from Bangkok (the capital city of Thailand), 196 THB per month; respondents residing in municipalities� limits 154 THB/month; respondents residing outside municipalities� limits, 111 THB/month. Regression analysis suggested that level of incomes, being in younger agegroup, and being female were statistically significant factors influencing higher WTP.
