CLIMATE NEUTRALITY OF NEW AND HISTORIC BUILDINGS FOR A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT. CASE STUDY

Abstract
Abstract - Climate change around the world is forcing rapid action. The sector with some of the highest energy intensity and CO2 emissions is construction. In Europe, the nZEB building standard with near-zero energy consumption has been introduced. However, further action is needed to achieve climate neutrality in order to expect a more healthy environment in the future. The article addresses the difficult topic of achieving neutrality in the case of new and historic buildings. Using the example of a historic building located in Poland, a methodology for achieving climate neutrality for this type of building is presented.
