Power Flow Management Enhancement in PV-Battery-Grid Systems using Firefly Algorithm

Abstract
In this paper, we have shown the possibility of improving the efficiency of a three-phase DC/AC photovoltaic inverter control system connected to the network, which ensures the injection and the exchange of energy between the different components of a proposed hybrid network, which consists of a PV generator connected to the network, a storage battery and a load represented by a DC motor. The control element developed is based on the combination of fuzzy logic with an algorithm derived from Firefly flashing behavior. The effectiveness of the proposed control is demonstrated using MATLAB/Simulink software. The results show that the proposed control contributed to the stability of the photovoltaic energy produced, to the improvement of the quality of the energy injected into the network.
