Analysis, Characterization and Reconstruction of Wavefront in Optical Aberrations

Abstract
analysis and characterization of wavefront in a wide sense, implies recovering the phase of a given wave, the intensity and propagation conditions are known. This field covers a very wide application area such as the 3D topography of optical components (lenses, prisms, holographic elements, plates, substrate layers), surface metrology including inspection of degradable surfaces (compact-discs, LCD cells, etc.). In this work we present a review of some techniques of analysis and reconstruction of wavefront. Finally, an interferometric application with use of ATMOSFRINGE software provides access to the parameters characteristic of a wavefront.
