Paper Title
The Analysis of Husks Charcoal Briquette Characteristics using Micro Waves based Carbonization Process with Additional Nitrogen Gas

Abstract
Biomass such as rice husks can be a source of raw material for briquettes as an alternative energy to replace fossil fuels (petroleum). This study aims to analyze the characteristics of charcoal briquettes through the microwave cooking process with the addition of nitrogen gas flow. The process of making briquettes includes the microwave torefraction process, mixing adhesives, printing, and testing the quality of the briquettes. Testing the quality of briquettes includes analysis of briquettes, namely calorific value, water content, and calorific value. Based on the analysis conducted, the use of nitrogen gas greatly affects the calorific value, moisture content, and ash content of charcoal briquettes and briquettes. Of the 4 samples tested, they had different results between using nitrogen gas flow and without flow. the best efficient result is using nitrogen gas flow 5l/minute with a heating value of 3513.6 Cal/g, water content 8.42%, and ash content 28.3%. Meanwhile, without nitrogen gas flow, the heating value is 3424.3 Cal/g, water content is 5.70% and ash content is 31.6%. Keywords - Briquettes, Rice Husk, Microwaves, Nitrogen gas
