Paper Title
Biosynthesis of Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles using Pandanus Amaryllifolius and its Antimicrobial Activity

Abstract
The present study reports the synthesis of titanium dioxide nano particles (TiO2 NPs) using Pandanus Amaryllifolius leaves extract as reducing agent with titanium (IV) but oxide (TBOT) at different ratioas precursor. Optimization process was done at different ratio of 1:2 (TBOT1) and 2:1 (TBOT2) between titanium (IV) butoxide (pre-cursor) and Pandanusamaryllifolius extract (reducing agent) respectively. The formation of TiO2 NPs synthesized from Pandanusamaryllifolius at both different precursor ratio from FESEM showed the homogeneity with spherical shape. Average crystallite size of TiO2 NPs from TBOT1 and TBOT2 from XRD were calculated and was found to be 85 nm and 62 nm respectively. The aim of this study is to use the biological approach to synthesize TiO2 NPs using Pandanusamaryllifolius extract as this method is simple, eco- friendly and cost-effective. Antibacterial properties of TiO2 NPs against Staphylococcus aureus were obtained and highest zone of inhibition (ZOI) was found to be 29 mm correspond to TiO2 NPs at concentration of 4 mg/mL from TBOT 2.
