Luxury Brand Consumption: A Conceptual Review of Adoption of Luxury Fashion Brands Amongst Young Indian Female Consumers

Abstract
In late 90’s, the marketers witnessed growing popularity of Luxury Brands and interestingly found that it was one of the most promising sectors (Vigneron & Johnson, 1999).In the series of 2000s’, many of the top brands including famous names like Burberry, Cartier , Gucci could actually report a lot of value that got incorporated in their brands (Firedman, 2010). The existence of literature of the luxury brands consumption has also widened in the recent past. However, finding a comparative literature of luxury brand consumption between two nations with similar preferences and brand preferences is still a challenge.
