Value Creation Of Web Visibility In The Financial Industry

Abstract
This paper examines the value implications of firm web visibility in the financial industry. We theorize and analyze the value creation process by mapping web visibility to firm financial and capital market performance. From studying a sample of 2840 US firms (650 firms in the financial industry), we find that web visibility is a more significant and important determinant of firm business performance in the financial industry compared to other industries.
