Learning Device Information System Utilization for Learning Preparation and Planning in Kindergarten

Abstract
The Learning Device Information System (LDIS) is a system created to help teachers in kindergartens in completing their work making learning plans. The content contained in the LDIS includes the preparation of weekly learning implementation plan (WLIP), daily learning implementation plan (DLIP) plan, and learning assessments that include assessment of observation forms and anecdotal records. This study uses research and development method with a one-shot case study approach. By using this type of experimental method, LDIS is tested on early childhood care and education teachers and kindergarten teachers to find out the functioning of the content contained in the information system as well as the constraints and the perceived benefits of LDIS. The number of respondents in the trial were 38 teachers from 19 kindergarten institutions in South Jakarta area and Tangerang City, Indonesia. The results showed that the WLIP filling scores 2.73 which is included in the easy category, the basic competency filling scores 2.73 that is included in the easy category, the DLIP filling scores 3 that is included in the easy category, the daily observation assessment filling scores 3.15 and is included in the easy category, the weekly observation assessment filling scores 3.31 which is included in the very easy category, and anecdotal records filling scores 3.05 and in the easy category. The conclusion from the results of this study is that LDIS can be used to help kindergarten teachers arrange learning plans in kindergarten in an easier way.
