Senna Auriculata Mediated Environmental Friendly Synthesis of CuO Nanoparticles and its Photocatalytic Behaviour

Abstract
The advancement in the field of green nanotechnology is resulting in huge interest towards researchers to focus on environmental friendly synthesis of nano-particles. In this investigation, green synthesis of copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) was prepared via Senna auriculata (S. auriculata) leaf extract. The biosynthesized CuO NPs were characterized by various analytical techniques to identify its physical and morphological properties. Here, we identified that the leaf extract of S. Auriculata was reduced copper acetate into CuO NPs for short period of time. The results were observed at 280 nm in UV-Vis spectrum. Also, the XRD spectrum showed crystalline natureCuO NPs. Morphology of TEM shownshape of spherical with 28 nm size. Photocatalytic activity of CuO NPs showed 97 % of degradation of Malachite green.
