Fink’s Taxonomy to Design a Flipped Course to Enhance University Students’ Writing Skills

Abstract
In this paper, the researcher provides an analysis of a contemporary approach to English language learning curriculum design. To this end, the researcher uses Fink’s taxonomy to design a flipped writing and research skills course that promotes the writing skills of university students, especially those taking an English language course. This flipped course has been initiated using the free resource “Blackboard Course sites” as an online platform and is geared towards involving students in high-order reading, writing and research skills.
