Paper Title
Numerical Investigation of The Effect of Air Conditioning Duct on The Room Temperature Distribution and Energy Efficiency

Abstract
One of the air conditioning problems of the buildings in winter is the collected hot air at the top of the room. This will increase energy consumption to warm the buildings. In this research, the effect of using a duct to transfer the hot air from top to bottom of a room is investigated numerically. The dimension of duct is 1.5 m (height)  0.11 m (width)  0.11 m (length) located in a cubic room with the dimensions of 2.5 m. This duct has two fans, one at the top and the other at the bottom each with a power of 30 W. Numerical simulations are obtained by solving the equations of continuity, momentum, and energy using Ansys Fluent 16. Results indicate that the air-conditioning duct has improved energy efficiency coefficient from 0.43 to 1.05. It was also observed that the presence of the duct, significantly uniformed the room temperature. Keywords - Air-conditioning; CFD; Comfort conditions; Natural convection.
