Impact of Export and Import on Economic Growth of Cambodia: A Circular Economy based ELG Model

Abstract
Cambodia has the highest growth rate in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) among the Southeast Asian countries in recent years. In the meantime, the circular economy is mentioned in many researches. Therefore, this paper used econometric model to investigate the factors that effect to the Cambodia’s economic growth. The Export Led Growth (ELG) model is also applied in this study. The results show the effect of the import, export, agriculture land area uses, ratio of renewable energy consumption, total fisheries production, total natural resources rents to GDP, and the annual growth of rural population on GDP of Cambodia while the total greenhouse gas emissions, capital, labour, and urban population growth do not.
