The Transformation From ISO 9001:2015 To ISO 21001:2018 at FPT Education

Abstract
Many Vietnamese universities have established the quality management system based on ISO Standard in recent years. Firstly, this paper generally introduces the similarities as well as the differences between ISO 9001 and ISO 21001. Secondly, the author describes the current quality management system of FPT Education, which has been built based on ISO 9001:2015 standard and points out its limitations as well. Thirdly, from these findings, the author estimates that the transformation from ISO 9001:2015 to ISO 21001:2018 is a tailored solution for FPT Education in the next development period. Finally, recommendations are given to foster the effectiveness of implementing ISO 21001:2018 at FPT Education: (1) Reorganizing of the document system and (2) Enhancing staff’s awareness about the management system for educational organizations.
