Exploring the Role of Personality on Social Network Sites use, Employee’s Job Performance and Psychological Well-Being in Pakistani Context

Abstract
In present era everyone is connected with digital devices and importance of social network sites (SNSs) are increasing day by day. Employee’s use of social network sites and effects are different as compared to student’s population. In the present study, focused on the employees using SNSs during office hours and how it effects the employee’s job performance and psychological well-being. Convenient sampling technique was used to collect sample of 480 employees from three cities of Pakistan. The participants belong from the both government and private sector organizations. A survey method was used and employee’s job performance and psychological well-being was measured with already established scales. Data was analyzed by using SPSS and AMOS. Hypotheses was tested by using path analysis. The result of the study revealed that extraversion and agreeableness are significant positive predictor of SNSs. The use of SNSs positive significantly predicted the employee’s job performance and have significantly negative relationship with employee’s well-being.
