The Development Model of Private Hospital Administrators in Eastern Region of Thailand

Abstract
This study is a qualitative research. It’s aimed to study development model of private hospital administrators in the eastern region of Thailand. Administrators 10 key informants from 100 beds private hospitals, that consist of the beginning, middle and high levels administrators, Chonburi, Chachoengsao Chantaburi, Trad and Rayong provinces, in the eastern region of Thailand. In-depth interviews method was used to collected data with semi-structure interview guide that was created by researcher. The result of study showed as atentative development model of private hospital administrators in the eastern region of Thailandor HEART MODEL consist of 5 elements; (i) Organizational development strategy means policy formulation, vision, mission and strategic planning that are according to customers needs. (ii) Training and development means developing leadership that has short-term and long-term courses. (iii) Organization commitment means managing the compensation medical manager to be cost effectiveness in order to remain in the organization management. (iv) Proactive management means thinking and organizing a progressive health service system that focuses on preventing more diseases, and (v) A leadership skills means giving priority to empowering others in the management of multidisciplinary teams for good performance in treating patients.
