Paper Title
Game Theoretic DSM with Storage Devices

Abstract
Demand-side management in smart grids has emerged as a hot topic for optimizing energy consumption. In conventional research works, energy consumption is optimized from the prospective of either the users or the power company, thus can be considered as a multi objective optimization problem. An efficient energy consumption schedule should minimize the peak to‐average ratio of the total energy demand, the utility generation, as well as each user’s individual daily electricity charges. In this paper, a genetic algorithm is proposed to solve this optimization problem to obtain an optimum user’s energy consumption schedule to fulfill game theory objectives. The simulation results show that using the optimum consumption schedule does not only reduce the peak to‐average ratio of the total energy demand, but also the charge of each user be reduced effectively.
