Participation of Cultural Capital Development on Local Recreation in Urban Area

Abstract
This research was aimed to find the wisdom capital and the cultural capital development participation on local recreation in Dusit Community, Bangkok. The data was gathered from 400 set of questionnaires by interviewing the local recreation conservator and surveying the social context, and the findings revealed that this community has been established for more than 100 years or ,called “Pak Klong Bangkok Noi” with the culture of local recreation such as Phee Lob, Mae Sri, Ling Lom, KrabiKrabong and Klong Yao etc., for Songkran Festival. Nowadays, a trend of social development has been changed from the rural to urban way of life which affected to a change of culture that afflicted to the inheritance in the community due to a decrease of participation and working out the area. The factors affecting the participation were from persons such as gender, age, occupation, status marital and income, if the factors changed – the participation changed, included a conflict among the various working people in the community which decreased group participation.
