English Proficiency Profile of Undergraduate Students of Universitas Brawijaya

Abstract
In the last four years, Indonesia has actively involved in Asian Economic Community, in which one of the criteria is ability to communicate in English in order to be able to survive in joining the community. In anticipating this target, in the last three years, the Rector of UniversitasBrawijaya has compulsorily required the undergraduate students to have a particular standard of English Proficiency score. These English Proficiency scores need to be recorded and evaluated whether there is significant increase or decrease of the scores. This paper is intended to map the scores and to see the reasons and efforts made by the faculty behind the highest scores and the lowest scores.
