Abstract
This study aims to assess Thai learners’ level in pronunciation Vietnamese initial consonants. The study has two main objectives: (1) to assess Thai learners’ knowledge with regard to pronunciation assignment, and (2) to determine possible factors contributing to these learners’ pronunciation level. The results in general revealed that most of the Thai learners have good performance in pronunciation Vietnamese initial consonants. Clearly seen from the analysis, it was found that, based on the scores of 70 Thai participants, their mean score is very good (84 score). To further determine which of the three variables are significantly different, ANOVAs were preformed, and the statistical results revealed significant different in experiences of learning other foreign languages, but not in Vietnamese learning level.
