Comparison of Industry Networks between taiwan and South Korea

Abstract
In the face of economic recession, the degree of connectedness in the industrial chain affects the dynamics of commercial activities and the effectiveness of manufacturing. This study used public information of listed companies in both Taiwan and South Korea, applied innovative network theory to compare industry characteristics between the two countries. Then, the directors’ links were transformed into company networks and simulated the supply chain of the industries based on these networks, in order to examine the robustness of industrial production in both countries during economic recession. The advantages and disadvantages of the industrial structures of both countries were discussed.
