Paper Title
The Effect of Stabilizer on Synthesis of Belite from Geothermal Sludge

Abstract
The influence of stabilizer of belite clinker was compared and investigated with samples have no chemical additive, followed by slow and rapid cooling rate after calcination at 1000 °C for 1 hour. For belite clinker applications, only γ-form is stable phase of belite cement at ambient temperature and does not react with water, while α, α' forms react with water to give hydrates and β-form also, but less than the α-form. Belite clinker properties were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The aim of this study is focus on the utilization of geothermal sludge for belite cement and to observe the effect of additive 3 %wt of BaCl2 on stabilization to prevent β to γ polymorphic transformation.
