Non-Linear Backstepping Control Optimized by Genetic Algorithm for the Control of a Wind Turbine Generator (DFIG)

Abstract
In this paper, we expose nonlinear control strategies, applied to the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) that can be introduced into a wind turbine system whose rotor windings are connected to a pulse width modulation voltage inverter for independent control of active and reactive powers. We present a nonlinear control based on the optimized Backstepping method whose results obtained show good performances, the gains of the backstepping designs of active and reactive powers respectively K1 and K2 are computed and optimized by the genetic algorithm.
