Correlation Between Gender And Age With Temporary Absence Of Employees In The Public Administration

Abstract
The aim of the paper is to show the research results of the correlation between gender and age with temorary absence of employees in the Slovenia's public administration. Statistical data from the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) in Slovenia show that the percentage of temporary absence of employees from work in the public administration is higher than the percentage for Slovenia as a whole. Research data were collected in February 2015 and 3.220 respondents were involved in our research in Slovenia's public administration. The results of the research reveal that respondents age have a statistically significant effect on temporary absence from work in public administration. Elderly employees are absent from work for several days more than the younger employees. But the younger ones are more often absent form work that the elderly employees. We did not find a statistically significant correlation between gender with temporary absence from work in public administration.
