Paper Title
Responses of Some Vegetable Plants to Mycorrhizal Fungi Grown on Hydroponic System

Abstract
Mycorrhiza has been used for improvement of plantsgrowth and yield production. An experiment to find out the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) on growth of some vegetables grown on hydroponic system has been carried out in a glasshouse. The treatments were three vegetable plants and AMF with different phosphorus fertilizer levels. The parameter measured were percentage of mycorrhizal colonization, number of spores, root length colonized by mycorrhiza, and plant growth. There were differences of the responses of each vegetable to AMF and P levels, but in general better plant growth achieved when applied with AMF low level of P fertilizer. This suggest that AMF could be used as a biofertilizer in hydroponic system which in turn results in better vegetables production. Keywords - Mycorrhiza, Hydroponic, Biofertilizer, Vegetables.
