Abstract
This research is designed as cross-sectional research which uses an individual as the unit of analysis. This research is also explanatory research whereby the purpose is to identify and understand the entrepreneurial intentions (EI) of Higher education sector students of Brunei and understand the factors affecting their decision. The study presented is based on other EI models from previous research. The ultimate dependent variable will be the EI of the students. The method of data collection was a quantitative survey by a self-administered questionnaire. The target population of this research were the students of selected public and private higher learning institutions in Brunei Darussalam. The sample was composed of 600 students aged 18 to 29. The study revealed some interesting findings. Subjective norms (SN) are the main influential force towards EI, and the least influential factor is perceived behaviour control (PBC). Entrepreneurial knowledge and the entrepreneurial attitudes have a moderate influence towards EI. In the long run, more youth will focus on entrepreneurship as their career preference.
